VIDEO: Risch on President Trump’s State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON – Following President Trump’s State of the Union address, U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) discussed the successes of the Trump administration and the many ways that Americans are thriving:

“As most Idahoans know, I’ve been in public service most of my adult life. I’ve sat through hundreds of speeches. This speech was an instant classic. The President of the United States took us through a brief history of where this country has been and the difficulties we’ve been through, and rightfully took a victory lap on what he’s done for the economy in the last three years, which has taken us to the best year we’ve had in over 50 years. After that, he talked about his vision for the future and what lies ahead for America. Like I said, it’s an instant classic, and it deserves a look.”

Remarks have been lightly edited for clarity.
